With this site-specific installation I attempted to achieve a (dreamlike) condensation of the phenomena surrounding a former summer kitchen and of the motives present in the angelic greeting. The inhabitant of the house was a deeply religious woman, at least I got this impressions seeing many souvenirs from Lourdes pilgrimage. I had poured blue-painted water into an enameled basin in the hall of an abandoned house, than I transformed it into an interior fountain using an aquarium pump. Swollen corn grains floated on the surface of the water. I placed this fountain – encompassing and carrying all the meanings of the state of Eden – on a two-wing mirrored dressing table. I placed a goose feather covered stool next to the table. I comprehended and considered the elements evoking the activities of the summer as latent contents referring to angelic greetings: water (purity), enamel basin (washing), stool (waiting, service), goose feather (angelic quality), corn (goose-filling, fertility, yield).
